My Second Novel

My second manuscript, Three Ounces, follows Marty Arnold, a self-conscious 17 year old who tells the 24 hour story of he and his best friends: Eddie Thyblle, Mr. Goofy and Loyal, Logan Gabele, Mr. Peaceful and Shy, and Zach Zimmerman, Mr. Cool and Crazy. 

Following the breakup of Marty and his girlfriend, everyone is invited to a party by the most popular kid at their school, Henry Anto. Marty heads into the next day with a few goals in mind, go to the party; win back his ex-girlfriend Daisy; and feel like a “cool” kid. For someone like Marty, this isn’t so easy.

The early chapters hold important flashbacks, such as the one depicting the rise and fall of Marty and Daisy. The origins of his friend-group’s nickname, “3-O-Z.” And even the first time Marty tries smoking weed, the same night a rift arises between himself and two boys named Howwie Silvers and Henry Anto. In one crazy day Marty and his best friends learn how to accept who they are in the ever changing and dramatic world of high school.

For now, Three Ounces is complete, and in the drawer.
