Free Falling With Ryan Ramsey

My recently completed third novel titled Free Falling With Ryan Ramsey follows Max “Silver” Silvers as he tells the story of the three month span of his life that changed everything—the three months that Ryan Ramsey was a part of his life.

Four years ago, Max “Silver” Silvers was bullied into homeschooling. Since then, he’s been a loner, struggling to fit in. Now a college freshman, Silver finds himself drawn into the offbeat, adventure-loving world of Ryan Ramsey and her two best friends, Josiah and Dermot. After a semester of first parties, first smokes, and unexpected friendships, the group sets off on a cross-country road trip to California—their final hurrah before Ryan drops out of college.

From the moment Silver meets Ryan, he’s unsure of her, and their relationship swings between irritation, tentative friendship, and something more—much to the confusion of their friends. In New Haven, they argue over girls at a Yale party. In North Carolina, the ice finally starts to thaw, and by the time they reach Florida’s beaches, sparks begin to fly. But their road trip is far from smooth—along the way, they deal with a popped tire, a meddling father, overwhelming nightclubs, and even a brush with D.C. politics. As the journey nears its end, Silver and Ryan must confront the truth: Ryan is leaving, and they may never see each other again.
